The Ichamama wet mill is located in Othaya, Nyeri County and lies peacefully between Mt. Kenya and the Aberdare Ranges. Over 780 farmers comprise the Othaya Farmers Cooperative. These farmers work on a very small scale with the average farm size being only 1 acre. The coffee is grown at a high elevation, 1,740 meters above sea level which gives it exceptional complexity and quality. It is then hand-picked at the peak of ripeness and sorted, pulped, washed and dried before being sent on to the mill for milling, grading and bagging.
