An Eco-Friendly National Drinking Straw Day

If your New Years resolution is to be more eco-friendly, we can help you out! Our drinking straws are plant-based and compostable. These straws are made from PLA, or “Corn Plastic” which is a 100% renewable resource and is compostable! So next time you get a cold drink from us, you can feel good about using a straw that you know is good for the world around you.

Alternatively, if you are looking to ditch throw-away straws altogether, we sell reusable metal straws in our cafes! If you have a metal or reusable straw you want to use, just let us know when you order and we will hold off on giving you a compostable straw.

Two Lions Blend

Vienna Coffee Company is rolling out a brand new coffee! Two Lions Blend coffee is comprised of two delicious Ethiopian coffees that give you the best of both worlds! This coffee starts with the clean, natural sugar of the washed Yirgacheffe coffee beans and finishes with the berry sweetness and wine of the pulped natural Sidamo coffee beans.

The coffee beans come from the farms of the Konga Cooperative and of Asnaketch Thomas (Amaro Gayo) respectively. These two farms are lions in their own respect, being powerful forces within the coffee world. The Two Lions Blend is a medium, full city roast, which compliments the sweet, fruitier notes of the Ethiopian coffee.

This coffee blend is September's Coffee of the Month both online and at Vienna Coffee House.

VCC wins award at National Roasting Competition

In September, Vienna Coffee Company competed against roasters from all over the nation in the Organic Espresso category at the Inaugural Golden Bean Coffee Roasters Competition in Portland. We are very happy to announce we won a bronze for our Certified Fair Trade and Organic Thunderhead Espresso.
