As your local coffee roastery, we remain committed to being a market leader in craft coffee throughout the southeast by providing an excellent coffee experience. To support that commitment, our Director of Coffee, Matt Bolt, and our Roastery staff consistently evaluate every coffee we offer to ensure each batch of green beans is roasted accurately to enhance its tasting note.
Although decaffeinated coffees accounted for only 5% of our Roastery sales in 2022, our staff gives equal attention to its quality before offering it to our customers.
In 2022 Vienna Coffee Company sold 5,370 bags of decaf coffee (across all sizes). That encompasses twenty-one different types of decaf coffee (4 blends, 1 decaf single origin, and 16 different flavors offered as decaf).
With recent cuppings of our Left Coast Decaf Espresso, our staff realized the versatility of this special blend. This decaf coffee favorite was developed as a perfect decaf espresso (and it still is!). However, after several cuppings, we realized it is just as lovely brewed as drip coffee or French-press style.
Roasted dark to bring out the rich buttery toffee and honey notes of the beans, this delightful decaf will satisfy any coffee lover's craving. With this in mind, we decided to re-launch this dark-roasted decaf favorite with a new name.

Chilhowee Mountain Decaf Espresso
This new name pays homage to the local Chilhowee Mountain range, which provides several favorite natural vistas for Vienna Coffee Company's hometown, Maryville, Tennessee.
The views from Look Rock, Chilhowee Mountain’s highest-Easternmost point, are a favorite of locals.
So whether you choose decaf on a daily basis, or want to enjoy an evening cup of a Vienna Coffee Company coffee without late night jitters, you can be assured that you will enjoy our decaf as much as our fully-caffeinated coffees.
All of our decaffeinated coffees are created via Swiss Water Processing or Mountain water processing. These methods ensure a chemical-free process of decaffeination without any alterations to the potential of each varietal.
